2021 Day of Mourning More than 25 wreaths were laid at the monument. Jean-Marc Ringuette was the Emcee of the ceremony. Danny Legere, President of the NBFL was the guest speaker at the ceremony. Hatheway Trustee Chair, Pat Riley presented Danny Legere with a portrait of the Monument. Member of Parliament for Saint John - Rothesay, Wayne Long, laying a wreath at the monument. Theresa Brewer laying a wreath in memory of her brother, Frank (Freckles) Walsh, who was killed while working as a Longshoreman. Brian Duplessis laying a wreath in memory of ILA 273 members who have lost their lives as a result of a workplace accident. Louis Duguay laying a wreath on behalf of Insulators, Local 131 who have lost their lives as a result of a workplace accident. Stephen Drost, President of CUPE New Brunswick laying a wreath on behalf of CUPE members. Joe Vautour concluded the moment of silence by playing the bagpipes.
